ADMISSION
PROCEDURES
Students
in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) complete
two years in medical school, transfer to a graduate program
for completion of their Ph.D. (~4 years), then return to
medical school to complete the M.D. MSTP students wishing
to pursue their Ph.D. in the Molecular Biology Interdepartmental
Ph.D. Program (MBIDP) must first choose a permanent research
advisor before applying for admission. The student and his/her
chosen mentor then submit a joint application. All faculty
mentors, including those who are currently mentoring or
have previously mentored, a student in the MBIDP, must submit
their portion of the joint application, including all required
signatures.
Student/Mentor
applications for admission to the MBIDP may be obtained
in the MBI Administrative Office, 168 Boyer Hall.
