Important Deadlines

ACADEMIC DEADLINES FOR FALL QUARTER 2007:

Registration:Because your support is the responsibility of your mentor and her/his academic home department, for the majority of you we put in what is called a “fee deferral” in order to give the other departments additional time to process the paperwork on your behalf (see Nov 20 in the deadlines below).  A fee deferral cannot be “done” if your account has “issues” (like outstanding Ashe charges, for example) and/or if you have a training grant appointment (because the system would take the fee charges automatically from your stipend rather than deferring the payment).  This is therefore a good time to look at your university account and get it up-to-date (so that registration blues may be avoided).

Sept 20 Registration Fee payment deadline.

Sept 27 Registration fee payment automatically assessed to students not paid.

Nov 20  Fee deferral payment deadline.

Enrollment:MBIDP graduate students are responsible for their own enrollment each Fall, Winter and Spring Quarter (enrollment is not required for Summer).  Enrollment is done online through the University Records System Access (URSA) at http://www.ursa.ucla.edu.  You must have your nine-digit student I.D. and your four-digit PIN number.  It is extremely important to be enrolled by the Fall Quarter deadline of OCTOBER 19.  This is the information Graduate Division uses for the entire year to determine how many students are part of the MBIDP, which determines how much funding our program will receive, which translates directly into how much travel and other funding we have available FOR YOU!!

Sept 27 Instruction begins (First day of classes)

Oct 12  Last day to enroll through URSA without late fee.

Oct 12  Last day to add or drop a course through URSA without late fee.

Oct 19  Last day to add courses through URSA with per course fee.

Oct 19  Last day to file Late Study List (via blue petition form) with late fee.

Dec 7    Last day to change grading basis through URSA with per course fee.

Dec 7    Last day to drop courses through URSA with $5 per course fee.
